Head of School of Environmental Sciences - Charles Sturt University (Albury Campus)
Associate Professor Ben Wilson is Head of the School of Environmental Sciences at the Albury-Wodonga campus of Charles Sturt University. Ben has held academic positions at the University of New South Wales and the University of Adelaide and currently leads an academic department that teaches more than 1000 students from across Australia and internationally in the fields of environmental management, environmental science, sustainable tourism and a range of related degrees. His research activities range from environmental degradation in coastal waterways to the way communities develop sustainable solutions to environmental problems in rural and regional Australia. Located on CSU’s sustainable campus, the first fully functioning public institution of its kind in Australia, Ben has presented demonstrations and workshops to hundreds of people from school children to international visitors on sustainable living, low energy design, water reuse and waste management to demonstrate that sustainability can become part of everyday life. |
